Abstract
AbstractIn mouse fetuses with cleft palate induced by cortisone, the shape of the entire nasal septal structure was slightly altered, due possibly to the lack of palatal shelf contact, but no significant changes occurred in the basic development of the vomer. Nor was any evidence found to show a direct or indirect influence of the vomer on structures involved in the formation of a cleft palate.
