Abstract

The International Conference on Forest Product (ICFP) 2018 is held based on the consideration to broaden the forest product science and technology dissemination. As we all know, the dissemination is an integral part of the research activity which is used to spread the knowledge and inform the result to all stakeholders to ensure its expedience.The ICFP 2018 is also an implementation of the role of the Forest Products Research and Development Center as the center of excellence for tropical forest products science and technology, and as the center of excellence, we are demanded to have the capability to hold outstanding activities in international level. The ICFP 2018 is expected to be a medium for researcher, scientist, and all stakeholders from various research institute and universities to exchange best practices and information as well as to develop research networking.The theme of the ICFP 2018 “Efficiency and Quality Improvement of Forest Products Towards Technology 4.0” is a strategic theme to boost the role of science and technology for sustainable management of forest resources and environment. The proceeding presented 14 results of research on forest harvesting, bio-composite technology, non-timber forest products, basic properties of wood, and wood drying.
