Abstract

It is a great pleasure for us to welcome you here to the 2023 6th International Conference on Advanced Algorithms and Control Engineering (ICAACE 2023). The Conference was held virtually on February 24th to 26th, 2023, and will also be held physically in Shanghai, China in May, 2023.It provides an opportunity to present and discuss the news accumulated during last year. Another important feature of this series of workshops has always been the participation of a large number of related scientists and researchers from all over the world, for which long trips have previously been limited for epidemic reasons. It thus represents an important addition to the series of large international symposia on advanced algorithms and control engineering held every year in different parts of China via physical or virtual forms, including the earliest one held in Taiwan, China in 2018.The ICAACE 2023 Workshop brought together scientists interested in studying algorithms to an international platform for presenting and discussing recent results and achievements, including new experimental and theoretical methods in the field. The workshop topics can be characterized as follows: Algorithms and Data Structures, Electrical Systems, Machine Learning, Intelligent Data Analysis and Data Mining, Mathematical and Computer Modelling, Systems and Automation, Process Control, etc.ICAACE has a long-lasting tradition of experimental and theoretical studies of algorithms. The workshops on advanced algorithms and control engineering started in Taiwan, China in 2018. Since then, these meetings have been held in China every year and have become regular academic meetings. During the last 5 years, each of the conferences gathered around 60 scientists from all over the world. The papers of plenary lectures and contributions presented at ICAACE 2023 will be published in the issue of Journal of Physics: Conference Series. And recent years have brought a lot of new research and experimental results. We heard the reports of experts from leading universities and research organizations in the field of advanced algorithms and control engineering: The University of Alabama, USA, University of Technology, Sydney, Tongji University, China, Central South University, China, Hunan University, China, Fudan University, China, etc. Among them, Professor Yang Xiao from The University of Alabama, USA gave a report on Electricity Theft Detection via Modeling Attackers’ Behaviors. He introduced three detection methods: approximation-based approaches, including NFD for electricity theft detection, FNFD for fast electricity theft detection and verification, and CNFD for colluded electricity theft detection. In their methods, they modeled attackers’ behaviors mathematically and understood attackers thoroughly to detect attackers better. We are grateful to all people who were and will be involved in the organization process of ICAACE 2023. We gratefully acknowledge the support from Tongji University, Central South University, and Shanghai University, as well as contributions from each author. We also appreciate the publishing support from the members of Journal of Physics: Conference Series. The Committee of ICAACE 2023List of Committee Member is available in this pdf.
