Abstract
The BulTrans-2020 International Scientific Conference on Aeronautics, Automotive, Railway Engineering and Technologies is the twelfth international conference organized by the Transport Faculty at the Technical University of Sofia. The conference is part of the Science Days of the Technical University of Sofia and was held in the town of Sozopol, at TU Recreation Base Lazur on September 10-13, 2020. The conference was partially held virtually due to the COVID-19 pandemic.The conference program included a plenary session and 7 thematic sessions. The duration of the plenary lectures was 30 minutes and of the thematic oral presentations - 15 minutes, followed by questions and answers sessions. The presentations of the participants present on-site and those of the online participants were screened in the conference hall. The conference was held successfully with Zoom videoconferencing software. The authors shared the screen and all attendees could discuss their work via the online platform. The chairpersons of all sections were present on-site in the conference hall, while some of the participants were online, including 13 presenting authors.All accepted papers were subject to peer-reviewing by the scientific editorial board and invited reviewers. The papers were selected on the basis of their quality and their relevance to the conference topics. The review process, as well as all communication between participants and organizers was conducted through the web-based conference management system process.bultrans.org. I would like to thank the reviewers and the scientific editorial board members for their time and advice, and the authors for taking into account the reviewers’ recommendations and for improving the quality of the papers selected for presentation at the conference and for publication in this volume.
