Preface

Abstract

ICPET 2021- The 3rd International Conference on Power and Energy Technology, which was held in Chengdu, China during March 26-29, 2021. The conference is co-sponsored by University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, and Sichuan Institute of Electronics, China, organized by Science and Engineering Institute. The theme of ICPET 2021 is bridging and connecting – across disciplines, practices, places and understandings. The most interesting things happen at edges and boundaries, and so the aim of the conference is to demonstrate and examine different approaches in innovative power and energy technology solutions. It features invited speakers as well as peer-reviewed paper presentations.Due to COVID-19, ICPET 2021 was held both online and onsite during March 26-29, 2021. On March 24, all the online attendee got online test for preparing online presentation. On March 26, all the onsite attendees collected their conference materials. Then it’s opening remarks and onsite keynote speeches in the morning on March 27 for onsite speehes and attendees. The conference invited Prof. Weihao Hu who is from UESTC, China to do the chair and host the keynote speeches. Then opening remarks was made by Prof Qi Huang who is from Chengdu University of Technology, China (Vice President of CDUT). The keynote speeches were full live broadcast online on ZOOM for online attendees. After that, ICPET 2021 got two onsite keynote speakers: Prof. Jinjun Liu who is an IEEE Fellow and from Xi’an Jiaotong University, China, Prof. Fujin Deng, Southeast University, China and one onsite invited speaker, Assoc. Prof. Chuan He, Southeast University, China. In the afternoon, there are online keynote speeches and onsite best student paper competition, and we also showed the online keynote speeches for oniste atendees. The conference invited three online keynote speakers, they are Prof. Atsuo Kawamura, who is an IEEE Fellow and from Yokohama National University, Japan, Prof. Nikos Hatziargyriou who is IEEE Fellow and from National Technical University of Athens, Greece, and Prof. Soteris Kalogirou who is an IEEE Fellow and from Cyprus University of Technology, Cyprus. After that, it’s two onsite best student paper competitions, every presenter has 20Mins for presentation. There are onsite and online best paper competition, and onsite and online oral presentation on Mar. 28 and 29.We would like to express our appreciation to all the attendees, organizers and reviewers’s supports and their hard works. Thanks to their supports, ICPET 2021 could be held successfully.
