Preface

Abstract

The 2022 5th International Symposium on Big Data and Applied Statistics (ISBDAS 2022), was planned to be held on April 22-24, 2022 in Xining, China. Due to the impact of COVID-19, many communities from all over the world were under strict health measures and strict travel restrictions, and participants of the 2022 5th International Symposium on Big Data and Applied Statistics (ISBDAS 2022) also meet with the difficulty of travel restrictions. Considering the situation that most of the authors would like to publish their articles and make academic communications as scheduled, ISBDAS 2022 was held on-line instead of postponing the conference. It was a challenge, not only to the organizers, but also to the participants who were delivering their speeches using videoconference tools, under different time zones.ISBDAS 2022 is to bring together innovative academics and industrial experts in the field of Big Data and Applied Statistics to a common forum. The primary goal of the conference is to promote research and developmental activities in Big Data and Applied Statistics and another goal is to promote scientific information interchange between researchers, developers, engineers, students, and practitioners working all around the world. The conference will be held every year to make it an ideal platform for people to share views and experiences in Big Data and Applied Statistics and related areas.The conference brings together about 170 leading researchers, engineers and scientists in the domain of interest from China, Singapore, India, Slovakia and UK. The conference model was divided into two parts, including keynote presentations and online discussion. In the first part, each keynote speakers were allocated 30 minutes to present their talks via Zoom.
