Abstract
Department of Geography is a well-established part of the Faculty of Social Science, Universitas Negeri Malang, East Java, Indonesia. We are proud to host our traditional scientific meeting, International Conference on Geography and Education (ICGE), this year being the 2nd Seminar.The aim of our conference is to bring together scientists, teachers and pra ctitioners both from academia and research institution, and this is reflected by the different scientific sessions that cover various relevant topics, such as Environmental Sciences, Social Impact of Environmental, Mountainous Landscape, Marine and Coastal Sciences, Disaster Risk Management, Remote Sensing and GIS, and Human Geography. Special focus sessions highlight recent developments in the Sustainability through environment innovation.We as organizers, continuously strive to improve our Seminar, and we therefore decided to provide all contributors with the opportunity to publish their papers, in addition to the printed proceedings volume, in an international, peer-reviewed journal. Clearly, this is understood and appreciated by many participants of our meeting: more than 76% of all authors chose to also publish their proceedings papers in this special issue, which consequently, provides an excellent overview of the main topics of our seminar.Malang, November 20th 2019Syamsul Bachri,S.Si, M.Sc, PhD
