Abstract

It is highly delighted to introduce the 2021 International Conference on Mechanical Engineering, Intelligent Manufacturing and Automation Technology (MEMAT 2021), which held on April 23-25, 2021 in Guilin, China.MEMAT 2021 is to bring together innovative academics and industrial experts in the field of Mechanical Engineering, Intelligent Manufacturing and Automation Technology to a common forum. The primary goal of the conference is to promote research and developmental activities in engineering materials, manufacturing technology and another goal is to promote scientific information interchange between researchers, developers, engineers, students, and practitioners working all around the world. The conference will be held every year to make it an ideal platform for people to share views and experiences in Mechanical Engineering, Intelligent Manufacturing, Automation Technology and related areas.About 110 participants from academic, high-education institutes and other organizations took part in the conference. The conference model was divided into three sessions, including oral presentations, academician report and keynote speeches. In the first part, some scholars, whose submissions were selected as the excellent papers, were given 15 minutes to perform their oral presentations one by one. They were Huanbing Liu, Foreign academician of Russian Academy of Engineering, from South China University of Technology and C. L. Philip Chen, Program Evaluator of the Accreditation Board of Engineering and Technology Education (ABET) in the U.S., from South China University of Technology. In the keynote presentation part, we invited six professors as our keynote speakers. The first keynote speaker, Prof. Shiji Song, from Tsinghua University, China. The second keynote speaker, Prof. David BASSIR, from University of Bourgogne Franche-Comté (UTBM) & Researcher at ENS-CMLA. The others three keynote speakers were as listed: Prof. Qixin Cao, from Shanghai Jiao Tong University; Prof. Liang Yan, from Beihang University Prof. Deping Yu, from Sichuan University; Prof. Huajun Cao, from Chongqing University. The proceedings present a selection of high-quality papers submitted to the conference by researchers from universities, research institutes, and industry. All papers were subjected to peer-review by conference committee members and international reviewers. The papers were selected based on their quality and their relevance to the conference. The proceedings present recent advances in the fields of Mechanical Engineering; Intelligent Manufacturing; Automation and Other related topics.I would like to express special gratitude to members of the conference committee and organizers of the conference. I would also like to thank the reviewers for their valuable time and advice which helped in improving the quality of the papers selected for presentation at the conference and for publication in the proceedings.
