Abstract

Due to recent pandemic, the CGDIP 2020 which was planned to be held in Kunming, China, was held virtually online during July 24-26, 2020. The decision to hold the virtual conference was made in compliance with many restrictions and regulations that were imposed by countries around the globe. Such restrictions were made to minimize the risk of people contracting or spreading the COVID-19 through physical contact. To ensure the health and safety of our participants and members of our research community, the WATCV 2020 was also held virtually online concurrently with the CGDIP 2020. There are 64 individuals who attended this on-line conference, represented many countries including Indonesia, Thailand, Saudi Arabia, Australia, Japan, UK, USA, Nigeria, and China. The conference provided a useful forum for both offering the latest research and exchanging recent findings in Computer Graphics, Digital Image Processing and related areas. The participants of the conference were from almost every part of the world, coming from academia, industry, and well-known enterprises. The success of the conference is reflected in the high quality papers that were accepted following a peer review process. The proceedings, being a compilation of technically sound papers, covers four chapters, namely Applications; Detection/Recognition Methods; Image Manipulation/Enhancement and Potpurri. The conference featured three keynotes (40 minutes each, including Q&A) and one Invited Speaker (30 minutes including Q&A). In addition, the program included one oral session and one poster session. The papers in the oral sessions were allotted 15 minutes each for presentation. Following the end of each session, the audience engaged in technical dialogues and discussed possible ways for future collaboration. A group photo was taken at the conference. There were a total of 64 participants, including keynote speakers, invited speaker, committee members, session chairs, authors, presenters and listeners. The participants delivered and discussed technologies and research work on Computer Graphics and Digital Image Processing and other related topics. We would like to acknowledge all of those who supported CGDIP 2020. The help and contribution of each individual and institution was instrumental in the success of the conference. In particular, we would like to thank the organizing committee for its valuable inputs in shaping the conference program and reviewing the submitted papers. We sincerely hope that the CGDIP 2020 turned out to be a forum for excellent discussions that enabled new ideas to come about, promoting collaborative research. We are sure that the proceedings will serve as an important research source of references and knowledge, which will lead to not only scientific and engineering findings but also new products and technologies.Prof. Shahram Latifi, University of Nevada, Las Vegas, USAConference Committee Chair
