Abstract

3rd International Conference on Civil Engineering Science (ICCES-2023) College of Engineering, University of Al-Qadisiyah, Al-Qadisiyah, Iraq 15-16 March 2023 The ICCES-2023 was a premier forum for the presentation of new advances and research results in the fields of civil engineering. The conference brought together leading researchers, engineers, and scientists in the domain of interest from around the world. The main objective of ICCES-2023 was to provide a platform for civil engineers and scientists to discuss and share recent research findings in multi disciplines of civil engineering and for knowledge transfer.This conference is a periodic conference held every two years at the University of Al-Qadisiyah, Iraq and organized by Department of Roads and Transport Engineering and Department of Civil Engineering. It is an important event for university professors and postgraduate students in Iraq for continuous learning, sharing new findings and ideas, and also for making new connections for future collaborative research.The conference included an opening session have been done at the campus of the University of Al-Qadisiyah. The number of participants who attended the opening session was 300. The time of the opening session was about 90 minutes which included the opening ceremony and two keynote presentations by Professor Liberato Ferrara and Prof. Dr. Haitham Hassan Muteb.The conference also included 14 topical sessions that covered all of the conference topics. The researchers presented their work in these sessions for duration of 10 minutes for each presentation with extra five minutes to answer questions from the audience and to allow time for discussion and stimulating ideas. The total number of participants in the sessions was 300. The majority of the participants were from the well-known universities in Iraq. Also, there were participants from UK, Turkey, Iran. Russia, and Italy.This proceeding contains the peer-reviewed papers which have been presented in the conference. We hope that you enjoy reading this proceeding and find the published papers useful.
