Preface

Abstract

The International Conference on Aerospace, Aerodynamics and Mechatronics Engineering (AAME 2022) was successfully held on July 29, 2022 in the form of online conference. AAME 2022, mainly focusing on the latest research on “aerospace engineering” and “mechatronics engineering”, gathered scholars, researchers and related practitioners in this field to share research results, explore current hot news, and exchange new ideas, providing a face-to-face communication for all participants in the struggling period of COVID-19 pandemic.We were delighted and honored to invite Prof. Ian R. McAndrew from Capitol Technology University, USA to serve as our Conference Chair. There were 90 individuals and enterprises all over the world attending the conference. Divided into three parts, the conference agenda covered keynote speeches, oral presentations, and online Q&A discussion. Firstly, keynote speakers were each allocated 30-45 minutes to hold their speeches. Then in the oral presentations, the excellent papers we had selected were presented by their authors by turns.During the conference, four sophisticated professors were invited to address keynote speeches. Among them, Prof. Bing Li from Northwestern Polytechnical University, China delivered a speech on the topic: Extraordinary Elastic-Wave Control Based on Metamaterials and Metasurfaces. In this report, a series of elastic metamaterials and metasurfaces used for broadband vibration-suppression and extraordinary wavefront manipulation were introduced, a variety of novel elastic-wave manipulations were realized, and the proposed designs paved feasible ways for noise and vibration control in elastodynamics. Additionally, Prof. Ian R McAndrew from Capitol Technology University, USA gave a report on Cybersecurity Issues in the Aerospace Industry. He presented to us the findings from several aligned research projects that focused on the cyber issues, challenges and risks involved at present and in the future. The subjects of safety and risk were presented with unique findings and recommendations on what was the need to prioritize. The wonderful and dramatic speeches of each keynote speaker had triggered heated discussion. Moreover, every participant praised this conference for disseminating useful and insightful knowledge.After months of well preparation and hard work, the proceedings of AAME 2022 covering a bunch of papers is smoothly published. These papers feature but are not limited to the following areas: Rocket Theory and Design, Communication Systems and Technologies, Interoperability, Synthetic Aperture Radar Technology, etc. All the papers have been checked through rigorous review and processes to meet the requirements of publication.On behalf of the conference organizing committee, we would like to express our heartfelt appreciation to all the keynote speakers, peer reviewers, and all the participants. In particular, we would like to acknowledge the Journal of Physics: Conference Series, for the hard work of all the colleagues in publishing this paper volume.
