Preface

Abstract

The 2022 4th International Conference on Energy, Power and Grid (ICEPG 2022) will be held on September 23-25, 2022 in Guangzhou, China. ICEPG 2022 built a platform for academic resource sharing, expanded international scientific and technological academic exchange channels, promoted scientific and technological innovation on a global scale, and enhanced Sino-foreign academic cooperation.In the conference, we were greatly honored to have Prof. Jizhong Zhu from South China University of Technology, China to serve as our Conference Chair. 120 individuals around the world took part in the conference. Divided into two parts, the conference agenda included keynote speeches and oral presentations. Firstly, the keynote speakers were each allocated 30-45 minutes to address their speeches. Then in the oral presentations, the excellent papers we had selected were presented by their authors by turns.Six distinguished professors were invited to hold keynote speeches during the conference. Among them, Prof. Hong Rao, Academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering and Chief technical expert of China Southern Power Grid Corporation, performed a thought-provoking speech. He presided over the design and completion of 11 major DC projects including China’s ±500kV independent support project and the world’s first UHV multi-terminal flexible DC project, and established the State Key Laboratory of DC power Transmission Technology, making systematic contributions to China’s power grid technology innovation and the realization of international leadership in DC power transmission. Furthermore, Prof. Xiaoxin Zhou, Academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences and IEEE Fellow, made a report. He has been engaged in the research of mathematical models and methods for power system analysis for a long time, and proposed to use advanced machine cluster architecture and parallel algorithm of sub-network, and innovatively developed full digital real-time simulation device of high-performance power system (ADPSS), which has been promoted and applied at home and abroad. All the distinguished keynote speakers gave excellent presentations combining their own research areas and experiences. Their insightful speeches had triggered heated discussion and every participant praised this conference for disseminating useful and insightful knowledge.After months of hard work and preparation, we have selected a bunch of high-quality papers from the submissions and compiled them into the proceedings after rigorously reviewing them. These papers feature but are not limited to the following topics: Energy Saving Technology, Hybrid Energy Systems, Electromagnetics and Photonics, Electromagnetic and Applied Superconductivity, etc. All the papers have been checked through rigorous review and processes to meet the requirements of publication.We would like to acknowledge all of those who supported ICEPG 2022 and made it a great success. Particularly, we would like to acknowledge the Journal of Physics: Conference Series, for the endeavor of all its colleagues in publishing this paper volume.
