Preface: The 3rd International Conference on Disaster Management (ICDM 2022)

Abstract

On behalf of the conference committee, I would like to extend my warmest welcome to all of the participants to our International Conference on Disaster Management (ICDM 2022). The theme for the 3rd International Conference on Disaster Management (ICDM 2022) is Disaster Management During and After Pandemic. The aim of the conference is to delegates from around the world can share excellent opportunities and new ideas and findings for both developed and developing countries to implement policies to build disaster-resilient societies and to create new directions through integrating various fields of disaster mitigation and management.The 3rd International Conference on Disaster Management - ICDM 2022 has been hosted by Civil Engineering Department and Disaster Study Centre, LPPM of Andalas University. This conference is attended by presenters from the United Kingdom, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Turkey, Gaza Strip, Iraq, Egypt, Japan, and Taiwan.The conference was held over two days, from 30 September to 1 October 2022 by online method conference and was hosted from Convention Hall of Andalas University. The conference included two plenary sessions and four parallel sessions in which there were invaluable presentations by both national and international presenters.I would like to thank our co-host, the Universitas Indonesia, Universitas Pertahanan Republik Indonesia, Universitas Kristen Maranatha, Universitas Indo Global Mandiri, Universitas Jenderal Soedirman, Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia, Institut Teknologi Sumatera and Universitas Metamedia for their support of this event. We received a number of 158 extended abstracts for this event, and unfortunately, we could only accept a number of 137 selected ones to be published on our upcoming IOP conference series in Earth and Environmental Sciences. Therefore, I would like to congratulate all authors that have made it this far.I would like to take this opportunity to convey my appreciation to the organizing committee for their untiring efforts to manage this conference, to the reviewers for reviewing paper and making valuable suggestion to ensure the published paper have a very best quality. I also thank all the authors for their time and effort in contributing to ICDM 2022. Thanks to all these efforts, we firmly believe that the final conference program consisted of contributions of the highest quality.
