Abstract
The paper analyses the representation of women on the tombstones in medieval Bosnia. Using the results of historiography and the available picture material, the author considers the depictions of individual female figures and their role within larger compositions. Apart from the poor preservation of reliefs on the tombstones, the author also notes that artist devoted less attention to the depiction of female figures than to the male ones.
