Abstract

In this paper, the problem of exponential stabilization of two-dimensional (2-D) continuous-time Roesser systems with directional input delays is studied. A predictor-based control strategy is applied to this type of systems for the first time. Based on an extended Lyapunov–Krasovskii functional method, stability analysis and synthesis conditions of a desired controller are derived in the form of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). An extension to the case of directional input and output delays is also presented.
