Abstract

A predator-prey model with proportional prey harvesting and square root functional response in prey has been studied. The existence and the local stability of equilibria of the system has been analyzed. By analysing the model it is observed that the dynamics of the model depends on the parameter values. It is examined the solutions near the interior equilibrium point the system exhibits Hopf bifurcation. The calculation of the Lypunov number shows that the Hopf bifurcation is super-critical. Various numerical simulations are carried out to justify the analytical results.
