Abstract

Purpose – The purpose of this paper is exploring the effect of work process-oriented teaching reform on the course of International Business Negotiation. International Business Negotiation is an optional course for international economics and trade majors, whose target is to help students get familiar with and master the basic skills of international business negotiation, and lay a foundation for future practical work. Design/Methodology/Approach – However, it is hardly to achieve the goal by using the traditional teaching method. The paper studies the main problems in International Business Negotiation teaching, and made an application of work process-based teaching method. Through teaching practice, the advantages and limitations of the work process-based teaching method have been found. Findings – According to the feedback from students and comprehensive evaluation of teaching effect, it was found that the work process-based teaching method could stimulate students’ enthusiasms on study and improve their application ability. Research Implications – The study has significance in promote and apply work process-based teaching method, enhance the teaching effect of International Business Negotiation, and conducive to the cultivation of applied talents, which will also provide reference for other scholars’ follow-up research.
