Practice and Discussion on the Innovative Expression of Contemporary Material Language and Chinese Traditional Culture

Abstract

How to carry forward the traditional Chinese culture in the new era is a widely concerned topic. By analyzing the current application of contemporary materials and the corresponding performance of works, the authors point out that the rich material language derived from the selection of concepts and the integration of contemporary aesthetics has become a mature way of contemporary art creation. Through the analysis of the current situation of Chinese traditional cultural expression works, it is pointed out that Chinese artists are gradually exploring the way to absorb nutrients from the treasure house of traditional culture and find the appropriate way of cultural inheritance through contemporary thinking and technology. Because the contemporary material language with a complete system can adapt to the different needs of emotional and style expression, the exploration of contemporary material language from the perspective of innovation can provide new ideas for the innovation of traditional Chinese culture. Finally, through the innovative practice of material technology and emotional expression, a new balance point between material technology and expression content was found, and a preliminary study on the application of contemporary material language was completed. The Chinese traditional culture with a long history can always find new value in each era, and the contemporary material language provides new inspiration for its inheritance and innovation.
