Abstract
The title compound, a key material for synthesis of coenzyme Q10, was effectively prepared in high yield by a reaction sequence starting from 3,4,5‐trimethoxybenzadehyde via Wolff–Kishner reduction, Vilsmeier–Haack reaction, Dakin reaction, and methylation.
