Abstract

The aim of the present study is to examine the validity and reliability of the Turkish Version of the Positive Perception Scale (Icekson & Pines, 2013). Participants were 251 undergraduate students. Results of confirmatory factor analysis demonstrated that the eight items loaded on three factors (x²= 24.28, df= 16, RMSEA= .045, IFI= .99, CFI= .99, GFI= .98, SRMR= .032). Internal consistency reliability coefficients were .80 for positive perception of past subscale, .71 for positive perception of human nature and .75 for positive perception of self subscale. The corrected item-total correlations ranged from .55 to .65. These results demonstrate that this scale is a valid and reliable instrument
