Abstract
This study presents a modified interlinking con-verter for a hybrid AC/DC microgrid operating in stan-dalone mode. To allow this operation, it is proposed a power management and a control strategy to inter-linking converters. Such modified topology is called Two Stages Interlinking Converter with Energy Storage Device (TSILC-ESD), and is composed of a bidirectional DC-DC half-bridge converter coupled with a voltage source converter (VSC). In the DC bus, between the two converter stages, an energy storage device (ESD) is connected. The TSILC-ESD is responsible for forming a DC microgrid and to support the AC microgrid. Also, an ILC converter is employed aiming to form the AC micro-grid. Besides, allowing the standalone operation in the hybrid microgrid, the TSILC-ESD aims to mitigate the voltage harmonics in the AC microgrid. The performance evaluation of the modified interlinking converter and the your power management is accomplished by simulations in the software Matlab/Simulink. The results show that the ILC and TSILC-ESD provided a satisfactory power management in standalone mode, mitigating the voltage harmonics. This is done employing a centralized ESD acting in two subgrids.
