Abstract
The paper improves a simulation model for battery-/trolleybuses, which operate in a Low Voltage Direct Current (LVDC) network. The battery-/trolleybuses cause high voltage fluctuations, which are traced back to the rapid changes of the traction motors. The integrated maximum power adjuster in the buses prevents voltage collapses (VC) in real life. Therefore, this paper considers three different methods for adjusting the maximum motor power in a time critical-manner in the simulation model, which leads to improved bus voltage profiles.
