Abstract
Abstract Indigenous people, who rely on traditional economic system focusing on self-sufficiency and dependency on forest resources for survival, are living at poverty level. Tourism products can be developed through nature and the cultures of indigenous people. The study was conducted among indigenous people to identify the factors that attracted them to be involved in tourism activities. The findings showed that indigenous people are willing to engage in tourism activities. Based on these findings, the researcher carried out ideas using Vocational Education (Tourism) through Pro-Poor Tourism Approach (PPT) to eradicate poverty among the indigenous people communities.
