Abstract

Abstract ‘Russet Burbank’ potatoes were planted May 23, at Rosemount, MN. Plots were 4 rows, 45-ft long, with 40-inch row spacing, randomized in complete blocks with 3 replications. The soil was a Waukegan silt loam with medium organic matter. The systemic insecticides were applied as in-furrow, split-band treatments at plant-ing. No insecticidal sprays were applied. Chlorothalonil fungicide was applied weekly per label recommendations from Jun 27. Nymphs of potato leafhopper and apterae of green peach aphid and potato aphid were counted from 35 mid-plant leaves from the center 2 rows of each plot. Counts were made at 2-week intervals starting Jul 19.
