Abstract

ABSTRACTThe history of a psychoanalytic school to support the emotional, social and academic development of children in grades K-8 is given. The technique of “catching children doing the right thing” and other interventions are described. After ten years of helping hundreds of families, a decision was made to close the school following the retirement of the founders. Special care was given to transitioning teachers and families.
