Abstract
Introduction: Collaborative working between doctors, nurses and paramedics providing care in emergencies improves patient outcomes and professional satisfaction. 1 O’Meara P.F. et al. Few structured opportunities exist at undergraduate level for these professionals to work or learn together; in clinical practice, most collaboration is brief and opportunistic. Structured research and inter-professional postgraduate education programmes in Emergency Medical Science may address these needs.
