Abstract

A 3-day-old neonate presented to her clinician for a routine weight check and was found to have five pearly vesicles on an erythematous base in the posterior oropharynx (Figure). Figure. Symmetric hyperemic mucosa and ulcers in the patient. ### Prenatal and Birth Histories: ### Presentation: This 3-day-old girl had bilateral lesions adjacent to the tonsillar pillars. She otherwise was doing well; she was feeding well, had good stool and urine output, and had no hypothermia or fever.
