Abstract

A male newborn presents with scattered irregularly shaped eroded skin lesions with an erythematous base distributed over the chest, thigh, face, and hands. ### Prenatal and Birth History ### Presentation The male infant was admitted to the NICU with ongoing mild respiratory distress and placed on nasal continuous positive airway pressure. On routine physical examination, he was noted to have 8 to 10 scattered, irregularly shaped denuded skin lesions with an erythematous base distributed over the chest, thigh, face, and hands (Fig 1) (Fig 2) (Fig 3).
