Abstract

Subject. We consider socio-economic relations in a post-industrial society, where digital technologies play a dominant role. Objectives. The aim is to substantiate interrelationships between the level of information technology development, as a basic characteristic of post-industrial society, and the evolution of social development. Methods. The study rests on general scientific methods of cognition, enabling to give the most objective assessment of the impact of digitalization on the standard of living of the population. Results. We investigated digitalization processes from the perspective of their positive impact on the social stratification of post-industrial society, studied the degree of influence of digital technologies on social development and its structure. It helped identify the main drivers in the development of post-industrial society to reduce social inequality. Conclusions. Innovative technology is a driver of human community development in the field of Internet communications and production. In the era of digitalization, the production cycle is being modernized and becoming more efficient and energy-intensive. The percentage of using autonomous machines in industries, where human control is minimal, is increasing. Changes in the industry force the evolution of the society. The development of information technology has had a serious impact on the modern society. A large number of people have been able to elevate their social status, although many have failed to adapt to the new social realities.
