Abstract
Post-COVID syndrome, often called «long COVID», includes a set of symptoms that persists after the coronavirus has been eliminated from the human body. Depression is one of the most common psychological consequences of COVID-19, and is characterized by an undulating course, with periods of exacerbations and remissions. Depression is characterized by fatigue, persistent sadness and loss of interest in things that are usually enjoyable, an inability to carry out daily activities, accompanied by feelings of guilt, decreased self-esteem, problems sleeping and concentrating. This article provides a review of the scientific literature on depression as a manifestation of post-COVID syndrome, the features of its course, diagnosis, treatment, and prevention.
