We report on magnetic susceptibility χ , electrical resistivity ρ , magnetoresistance MR, thermoelectric power S, and specific heat C p of a new intermetallic compound Yb ( Cu 0.151 Si 0.849 ) 1.883 . We found several features characteristic of non-Fermi liquid systems: at low temperatures χ ∝ T 0.3 , ρ ∝ T and C p / T ∝ - T 1 / 2 .
