Abstract
The development of the Argonne Positron Source (APosS) at the Argonne National Laboratory low-energy electron linac is discussed. We describe the measurement of the yield of slow positrons as a function of electron-beam energy and compare these results with theoretical calculations. Those results were used to establish the optimal regime for positron production.
