Abstract

In 2020 health emergency shocked educational system at all levels. It revealed the profound inequality that exists in the social, cultural and economic spheres in different sectors of the of the student population. The classroom was extinguished as a democratizing element of the students, and when this link was broken, the unequal conditions were exposed. The article argues from the analysis of conversations and questionnaires applied to the academic-student community of El Colegio de la Frontera Sur, the challenges of the use of information and communication technologies (ICT) in times of COVID-19. Among the main findings is that the confinement exposed the challenges of pedagogical updating and institutional organization; more than just connectivity and digital literacy. But even more importantly, it shows the resistance that was built from students and teachers.
