Abstract

Kidneys are frequently involved in COVID-19 infection both as repercussion of inflammation in form of AKI or Acute on CKD, or as a risk factor for severe disease in patients with CKD/ESKD. Studies reported that AKI requiring KRT in COVID-19 patients are associated with 1.73 fold risk of in-hospital mortality. Meanwhile, ESKD patients were contributed to 37% of mortality in COVID-19 patients. Indonesia are also affected with COVID-19 pandemic with positivity rate 1.9% and case fatality rate 3.3%.
