Abstract

The prevalence of mild cognitive impairment (MCI) and dementia in maintenance hemodialysis (MHD) patients is significant higher than common population. Several studies showed that amyloid β-protein (Aβ) levels in cerebrospinal fluid or plasma were closely associated with cognition function. However, few studies focused on the relationship between cognitive function and plasma Aβ levels in MHD patients. This study aimed to investigate the prevalence, plasms Aβ levels and potent risk factors of MCI and dementia in MHD patients.
