Abstract
Background: Ascites after orthotopic liver transplantation (OLT) is common but typically resolves spontaneously or with diuretics. However, some develop refractory ascites (RA) requiring recurrent intervention. In living donor transplant, small for size syndrome leads to portal hyper-perfusion related RA and graft dysfunction, but these features are not investigated in deceased donor OLT.
