Abstract

EOF-17 (EOF: element organic framework) represents a new member of the EOF family based on phosphorus connected via an organic biphenyl. It is characterized by a specific surface area (BET) of up to 646m2/g and a thermal stability of up to 360°C. As a heterogeneous analog of PPh3 the permanent infiltration of rhodium and palladium complexes is demonstrated. EOF-17 infiltrated with rhodium was successfully tested in the transfer hydrogenation of cyclohexanone.
