Abstract

ABSTRACT We present a method that uses combined information acquired at core, log and seismic scale for improved reservoir delineation and characterisation. In the paper, we illustrate how the method is applied to estimate porosity and reservoir thickness on a carbonate oil field. This work shows that once proper calibration is performed using core and log measurements, seismic measurements can be used to quantify lateral variations of rock properties and hence constrain reservoir simulation models.
