Abstract
Studies regarding population and plant spatial distribution are essential for understanding yield crop processes. The goal of this work is to report the possibility of applying georeferenced information as tool mainly for agronomic studies, especially for corn production studies, such as interactions between population and plant spatial distribution and concentration of soil nutrients, maintaining the basic principles of statistics. The results show that georeferencing sampling localizations and regression analysis were together efficient, and it is possible to apply it for estimating plant population which provides the highest grain yield; in addition, analyzing the effects of soil nutrient concentrations on the grain yield. Further, the method show itself to be able to estimate the grain yield variation as function of plant population and spatial distribution variations, besides predicting which plant population provides the highest grain yield, according to different environments and genotypes.
