Abstract

Polynuclear complexes of lanthanide(III) nitrates, thiocyanates, chlorides and perchlorates with N,N′- 1,3-propylen-bis(salicylideniminato)nickel(II) and N,N'−1,3-propylen-bis(salicylideniminato)copper(II) have been prepared and characterized by vibrational and electronic spectra, magnetic susceptibility, molar conductivity and thermal analysis measurements. Reliable information relating to the lanthanide- ligand bondings and geometries of the complexes have been inferred from infrared and electronic spectral data.
