Abstract

Carrier catalysts have been produced by the reactions of vanadium oxytrichloride (VOCl 3) with polyalkyl alumoxanes (PAAO). The kinetics of the ethylene polymerization on the carrier catalysts have been compared with those over the system VOCl 3AlEt 2Cl. The reactive form of vanadium is stabilized on the surface of the organic aluminium compound; any change of the carrier type affects the properties of the polymerization products.
