Abstract
We report on the role of (poly (vinyl pyrrolidone, PVP)) on the structure, morphology and magnetic properties of MgFe2O4@ZnFe2O4 nanocomposite ferrite through the microwave-assisted combustion route. Phase impurity, surface morphology, and magnetic properties which investigated with XRD analysis, Field Emission- Scanning Electron Microscopy, and Vibrating Samples Magnetometer indicate that cubic spinel unit cell structure are formed with average particle size decreases with present PVP from 32.85nm to 32.09 nm. While the FE-SEM images shows that PVP play very important role in prevention of agglomeration of the magnetic MgFe2O4@ZnFe2O4 nanocomposite ferrite. Magnetic measurement’s result indicates that the saturation magnetization values for capping MgFe2O4@ZnFe2O4 nanocomposite ferrite has been determined to be about 13.23emu/g which is significantly lower than that of the MgFe2O4@ZnFe2O4 nanocomposite ferrite without presence of PVP. The FT-IR spectra indicate that the presence of Fe-O bonds from MgFe2O4@ZnFe2O4 nanocomposite ferrite formed.
