Abstract

This study consists of a theoretical review research which aims to promote a dialogue on public policies that value female rural entrepreneurship. Scientific articles available in the Science Direct, Scopus, and Google Scholar databases published between 2010 and 2023 were consulted. Eleven articles were found which present public policies implemented to date that enable rural women's entrepreneurship. Some of the main policies are: National Rural Workers Documentation Program; Rural Women's Productive Organization Program; Technical Assistance and Rural Extension for Women; Pronaf Woman; Credit Support for Women in Settlements, and; National Land Reform Program: Joint Title. As highlighted in the texts consulted, these public policies enable generation of income, visibility, protagonism, empowerment, among other aspects that value entrepreneurship of rural women. However, despite advances achieved to date, there are still challenges to be overcome, especially with regard to gender bias.
