The “triangle” of America–China–Russia formed during the Cold War of 1945–1991 still has a huge impact on modern world politics. Of course, one of the most important of these regions was, is, and will be the Middle East, where the economic, geostrategic, and ideological interests of the leading centers of power in the modern world collide.
