Abstract

It is difficult to make out political demands for bisexual people from which other sexual emancipation movements would not profit in the same way. Therefore working together with lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and other organizations in common working processes and, if useful, in organizational structures seems a plausible idea. On the other hand, you can hear from people in sexual minority movements that they fear losing their identity as a movement if and when they appear to the outside as a part of a greater amalgam. The aim of this workshop was to further clarity about the following issues: In which direction could the stream of movements for sexual eman- cipation and personal freedom develop, of which the bisexual movement is a part? Which political demands could we bring forward to work on? How to take basic steps to form appropriate political strategies for the organisations and initiatives participating in the bisexual movement.
