Abstract
The aim of the research was to determine the position of Poland in the global trade of AJC and to identify trends in export and import of this product in 2005-2016. The importance of AJC export in the production of apples by the world’s largest exporters of this product was identified. Export of AJC was decreasing in the years 2005-2016. The average volume of export in 2014-2016 amounted to 1.4 million tons and was 20% lower than in 2005-2007. The largest exporters of AJC in terms of export volume in 2014-2016 were China (34%), Poland (20%) and Ukraine (7%). Among the largest exporters as compared to years 2005-2007 the countries with the decreased export volume in the years 2014-2016 were Germany (62%) China (39%) and Italy (25%) and the ones with increased were Ukraine (136%), Republic of Moldova (106%) and Poland (51%). In the years 2005-2016 export of AJC was the most important in the disposal of apple production in Moldova (62%), Hungary (51%), Poland (48%) and Ukraine (41%).
