Abstract
ABSTRACT To confront durable racial inequalities that stem from the afterlives of slavery in the United States, Hunter introduces a framework for radical reparations that characterizes much of the book. This framework pulls back the blinds on America’s metaphorical mansion to reveal the unsightly piles upon PILESSS – representing the seven forms of reparations Hunter envisions: Political, Intellectual, Legal, Economic, Social, Spatial, and Spiritual. We provide a review of the book and aim to further elevate an agenda for radical reparations.
