Abstract

It is well known that the poles of a linear system can in general not be arbitrarily placed by memoryless output feedback. On the contrary periodic memoryless output feedback for discrete time invariant linear systems is a powerful tool in the pole-assignment problem. A precise statement is made in this paper. This is then generalized to the context of periodic linear systems.
