Abstract

The cyclotron resonance absorption spectrum of a quasi-two-dimensional many-polaron system is calculated with inclusion of the full dynamical screening of the electron-phonon interaction. Experimental results of several groups on the cyclotron mass in GaAs/Al x Ga 1− x As heterostructures are well described. We found that for electron densities larger than 1.4×10 11 cm −2 the polaron mass renormalization is smaller than for the corresponding bulk GaAs system.
