Abstract

The polarographic behaviour at the dme of nitrobenzene has been studied in pure aqueous, water-methanol, water-ethanol and water-isopropanol solutions. The effect of the composition of the solvent on the kinetics of the electrode process and on E12 have been investigated in presence of 0·1 M LiCl as well as in universal buffer solutions. The reduction mechanism in the different media is discussed.
